VWs pretty weird about models...Apart from the normal US/Euro ones, they
•Make a pickup, as shown in the Saveiro models, called the "Pointer" in mexico(also available in panel van model)
•Still sell the Rabbit GTI in South Africa, under the name Citi Golf, and the Caddy shown
•Still sell the A2 chassis cars(except the Corrado) in S. Africa and China
•Still sell the old Polo in SA, the new one is called the Polo Playa
•Remember that Dune Beetle concept? Well they make that in SA...
and I'm sure theres more...of course the Mexican "Sedan" is the original Beetle too... www.vw.co.zawww.vw.com.mx

They also still manufacture the original bus in India, but its not an "official" product. It is manufactured under liscense by another company.
BTW, I was talking to my dealer about a NB for my wife, and he said that VW is developing their own engines to coinside with the MK5, so that is why the rumor about the 20V Turbo dissapearing is up. Apparently, in a move to differentiate the two brands, they are going to cease the shared engines. My question is, does this meen Audi wont get to use the W engines?
