the brakes on my jetta are due for a change, so i went to an autoparts store to get a price but their telling me that there are two different sizes of front pads and rotors available for a 2003 jetta. 280mm and 288mm. so do different trim models have different sizes or what? (pulling the wheel and measuring it is my last resort haha). thanks

maybe the bigger pads are for the vr6 motor.

Don't get them from that place, get them from GTImotorsports.com or some other online vendor...they'll be around the same price but the performance will be much better.

Email or pm me the info on your car and i'll give you a few choices. There's a good posiblity the we may even be able to upgrade you to a drilled or slotted and keep it in the same price range.

Hey guys. If I have a 288 rotor, would it make sense to machine it down to a 280?
