I'd imagine you could open it up and lube it just the same as an alternator. An electric motor is basically a reverse of an alternator. That is if it's just seized and not broken.

it might be broken... cause its hard to turn by hand and i hear grinding sounds coming from it... kinda thought it was just dirty.

I paid around $60 for a brand new fan a few months ago from GAP. Not hard to replace. It was an aftermarket unit, but no problems so far.
