ok so my wheels are coming tomorrow 17x7.5
i plan on eventually pushing them out more? and dropping it but i like the way it looks with streched tires. not a huge strech but enough to see. i was going to buy 225/45/17 but that seems to plane and wouldnt work with a poke out at all?
what size tire do you get if you want a LITTLE strech on a 17x7.5 inch rim

thanks for the help guys

personally making a 7.5in. wide wheel poke is going to look funny. really funny with stretched tires. brings me to my next point. the smallest tire that you can mount on the wheels will be a 205/40-17. which will look horrible. 225/45-17 is the oem tire size on all 17in vw wheels. i would run a 215/45-17 and make the wheels sit flush. you will have a tiny tiny bit of stretch. enough to help you clear the fenders. you could run 205/45-17 for more stretch. stretch and poke is mostly for wheels at least 8in wide. my front tires are 215/45-17's on a 8.5 and it is a little stretched but nothing crazy.

i would make the actual lip of the wheel sti flush with the outside of the fender and run 215 or 205/45's. i will try and find some pics of wheels with those sizes so you can get an idea on what you want.
