I removed the cable from the trans and carefully repositioned it until it clicked into place and was flush with the trans case. Also put an O ring in place eliminating the hard to find replacement gasket which had perished causing oil to leak. So far, so good, no oil leakage and the speedometer now functions. Golf Speedometer Cable
Hi to all!
I removed the speedometer cable from the transmission to check the oil. After reinstalling the cable, I find the speedometer doesn't function anymore. Is there a technique that isn't mentioned in the Bentley manual that addresses this? Thank you for your input!
