Hi to all!
I removed the speedometer cable from the transmission to check the oil. After reinstalling the cable, I find the speedometer doesn't function anymore. Is there a technique that isn't mentioned in the Bentley manual that addresses this? Thank you for your input!

I removed the cable from the trans and carefully repositioned it until it clicked into place and was flush with the trans case. Also put an O ring in place eliminating the hard to find replacement gasket which had perished causing oil to leak. So far, so good, no oil leakage and the speedometer now functions.
