Hard shifting and shuddering

So i have an 01 jetta wolfsburg 5sp and all a few days ago it started becoming very hard to put into gear and sometimes i can’t get it into one at all, this was completely sudden and there wasn’t any noises i just got off the highway and couldn’t put it in first, now i noticed it also started to like shudder a little bit when in gear, like if i put it in first it feels like it’s maybe slightly engaged i’m not sure but either way i’m not sure what could be causing this, clutch feels fine and i changed the trans fluid abt 8k miles ago, could it be shift linkage? or something else?
