Hi, I have a 91 jetta carat that will not produce much heat. There is water coming through the system so I know it is not blocked completely. My husband did put leakstop in the radiator. We have fulshed it several tmes but no results. Should we have it flushed by a radiator specialist? Any suggesstions.

if the water temp is not getting high enough you will not get any heat, perhaps you need to look at your thermostat....

if your car warms up all the way, then its either your heater core or a plugged coolant line (check the mechanical butterflies on the hoses leading to and away from the heater core), check to see if the flaps are working correctly.

Assuming the temp control cable is properly connected and moving the arm on the valve that controls coolant flow to the heater core, you should check that the arm (on the valve) is actually connected to the inner valve. they have been known to separate. drain some coolant and pull the valve. look through the removed valve while someone moves the temp control lever inside the car and you make sure that the valve internals are moving from open to closed.
