I am a Jetta owner and I haven't been able to drive it for 2 years because of a permanent code P0731 ( Gear 1 incorrect ratio ). I love my Jetta and I want to drive it again. I cannot get it smog because of this permanent code. I had my transmission replaced and the code should reset itself but it didn't. I drove it almost 1,000 miles and had 25 warm ups. I need to get it solved. Can anyone help me? I live in California where we have all the stupid laws you can think of.
