the PRM in my GOLF 1998 VR6 is a bit high, it's has been always high ..

it's a automatic vr6 .
i try to find that part under the hood and lower it my self . but i coudn't find anything. ppl told me that i have to put it on computer and lower it throw the computer.

my simple questions is

how can i lower it , with a computer / without a computer ?

Umm, what do you mean its high? The computer is a computer that connects to the ECU to read CELs and reflash the ECU. You need special software to do it with a laptop. Being an older car with a stock ECU I imagine you need to take it to a dealer or auto shop, I recommend the VW dealership.
