I have a Polo S 64 1.2 petrol 2005.
The car has only 26000 miles on the clock.
When you drive the car [not under load] it appears to misfire and judders?
The garage following a conversation with VW reloaded new / updated software and changed the EGR value - this did not cure the problem.
The garage then drove the car with a fault code finder attached which reported an intermittent misfire on all three cylinders.
I was then told this was either a sticky value or a stretched timing chain?
I have had the timing chain, spark plugs and the water pump replace for new items.
I have also purchased and installed a new cylinder head with new values, camshafts etc.

After all this work it's still happening!!!!!!!!!!!

The fault code reader read that the EGR needed cleaning - it new why?????

The only thing that was not undertaken was the air intake removed and cleaned why this make a difference?

Someone please help me!

if there is misfire in all cylinders and since you ve said you changed the spark plugs after like 400-500km those spark plugs should start to get dark/burnt when you take a look at them.. you given another look to them?
i guess you ve already checked bobbins as well?
if i were you i d check everything starting from intake..
