So it's time. I'm sick and tired of rolling around in a bone stock wolfsburg knowing i have a stage 1 ecu kickin around from my old 1.8t (RIP). Before i get started, i need to know if there are any components other than the instrument cluster, chip in the key and the ECU that are tied to the immobilizer system.
As far as i know i should be able to swap these things out and everything will work. Anyone try this or have advice for me?

you can defeat the immobilizer in the flashed ecu and just plug it in and it should work, no changing of cluster or messing with keys. are they both wideband ecus? aww and awp engine code are wideband ecu, awd engine code is narrowband

just bumping to point out that all you need is the chip in the key, the instrument cluster and the ecu for those who didn't know. (cause i didn't)
