hello.
i am a newbie here. i am very glad to join this forum.

i just bought a jetta GLS 2.0 and wow, what a great car.

i just have a question, i read a couple of threads saying that 'don't change the bulbs alone'. what do they mean? i am thinking of changing the headlight bulbs with either sylvania silverstar or Piaa Xtreme white bulbs. would this be ok?
thanks!

Be carefull with these 80W/100W bulbs as someone in here suggested. Thes will more then likely fry your think lead in your 9007 bulb socket. If you are just replacing bulbs, get the Philips factory replacement with the proper wattage.
Now, if you want higher wattage, especially PIAA, I would strongly recommend a US$50 performance socket kit. I think PIAA sells it themselves. It sports better gauge wireing and way thicker leads in your replacement sockets.
