Love my 2003 Jetta and the low profile tires my car came with look fabulous and sporty, but the horrible road conditions and potholes here in Minnesota are killing my tires. I currently have 17 inch wheels and I would like to switch out to a 16 inch or possibly a 15 inch wheel. I went on Craigslist and found a set of 15" VW wheels 5 bolt with some Michelin Exalto 205 60 R15 tires from a 98 Passat for $300.00. Will these fit on my car? Suggestions of what to do would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

These won't fit. B5 Passats have 5x112 lug pattern. You'll need 5x100.

I had the same problem when i moved from Tennessee to here in Chicago. Worst roads ever.. I raised my suspension, left 17" rims on but went to a 215 50 17 from a 205 45 17. Helped alot.
