Hello, VW brothers

Here I have a problem, that has not yet been described anywhere else on the net, so it might be a bit of a challenge to you, guys!

My LT35, 2.8 TDI, 54-REG loses it`s (otherwise ENORMOUS) power withing some specific engine revs ranges.
When I drive it and accelerate, it takes off great, but when it reaches approx. half of the revs scale it suddenly loses power for a couple of seconds and then re-gains the acceleration just to lose it again right BEFORE reaching the top speed.
It feels, like one of the cylinders is not getting fuel, or there`s too much air, or, or, or...

Can you help???

OK - only wanted to add a few details:
- problem is definitely related to the turbo charger
- checked the actuator, n75 vac valve - OK
- checked the rubber pressure hoses - OK (good suction at every end)
- checked the turbine - seams OK
- checked in motorway conditions - still losing power, especially at 3rd gear up to 5. 1st and 2nd gear seams the engine has enough pull to force the turbine to work.

Conclusion - no idea what can be wrong...
Air flow sensor?
Anybody here has any idea, perhaps...?

Every time Ive had the problem as you described, it was the fuel pump or fuel distro, but I've never had a TDI.

Changed N75 valve, mass airflow sensor AND apparently cracked intercooler - problem solved.
