So i got 17 inch konig rims, which obviously came with lug nuts instead of the bolts that i need. The stock ones dont fit, because the built in washer is too big for the mounting holes in the rims. First, will tapered lug bolts work in this application? And if so, what size are the standard lug bolts on a 96 jetta GL? Little help would be much appreciated, im sure this has happened to many before me!!

the bolts you need are actually called tuner bolts... or atleast that's what they told me to get when one of mine got stripped.. i went to discount tire and picked up a set.

i was wondering.... if you ordered your wheels new from a store, the store should have known that you needed bolts and not nuts. i would call them first.... maybe they'll send you some free!!!!!
if not they shouldn't run you more than 30.00
