you say you wanna lower your mk2 jetta but dont have the money...... well here is what i did and it was as cheap as hell. i got the front and rear springs out of a 88-91 escort station wagon and the fit like factory. they are stiffer and give ya about 2-3inch drop!

sounds cool...but i'm wondering if you'd have any problems getting it aligned. If it were for a daily driver that is.

not much different then cutting the springs. still gonna blow your shocks in a couple of weeks then it'll ride like hell. Maybe a little stiffer but won't make it handle much better. I used mt factory shocks with my spax springs. within weeks it was really bouncy. will work temporarily but i wouldn't do it permanently.
