I just installed all new rad hoses on my jetta with a 2.0 .Let me tell you what a bitch!But I got them all done and I am trying new antifreeze now called engine ice.It is supposed to be able to run the motor atleast 20 to 50 degrees cooler.I will see for myself this spring.

Where did you get the hoses ? Do you have any pics of the engine as it is now ? I am having to do some work to the cooling system this weekend, I might as well change the hoses too while I have the car drained. Please let me know and post pics if you can. Thanks.

I am sorry I don't have picturesyet.My friend harry will take some next time his is up my way.I got all the hoses through NAPA.

I agree that Jetta hoses are tough to change. I didnt have to change mine when I worked on replacing the flange but the process is hard. I prefer to use the screw type that fits the hoses vs. the spring type that VW has.
