Hi Everyone!

I bought a 2014 GLI Autobahn last month and I'm having some trouble with the 18" low profiles. My two front tires have bumps on the side which I can only assume is a tire defect OR they are super sensitive and can't handle even the tiniest potholes. I haven't hit anything major, just a bump here or there so I don't get it.

I'd like to take these rims off at least for the winter but I don't really know what the options are. Can I get winter tires and smaller rims (like 16") and just toss them on this car? Anyone have a good online source for buying/shopping tires and wheels?

Thanks, I appreciate it. I called the dealer and they want nothing to do with it so I called the tire manufacturer. I have an appointment to confirm that it is a defect and hopefully that goes well.

I'll look into the 16" rims and make sure they clear the brakes. Thanks for the advice.

I called the dealership and read this right off the page to them. They claim that "wear & tear does not include tires, just brakes." Is this a manufacturer guarantee that they are unable to overturn and make their own or are they just making their own rules here?
