I have spent some time looking for info on water intrusion on my wifes 2001 Cabrio and have come up with zilch.
Anyone have tricks or ideas to stop the flow of water into her car from the window seals.

Also we can't get her car to talk to a scan tool and VW here in GA couldn't get it to communicate. The K-line isn't connected to the Aftermarket HU. But her ABS light is on, can the ABS cause the car to not talk to a scanner? we need ot to talk to the scanner so she can pass emissions

2001 Cabrio is actually an Mk3. All Cabrios up to 2002 are Mk3s.

I bet your sun roof drains, lower door drains are clogged or the roof seal is bad.

As for codes, just take it to Autozone or Advanced and they will read them for you for free. If you need a mechanic, I know an honest VW guy on peachtree industrial in Duluth.

But I think you need the Kwire hooked back up for sure.

BUT... A Cabrio is a convertible so no sunroof.

And if you hook the K-line up to a aftermarket HU you'll have problems..

Ha ha whoops. Good Point. Its late.

WHere is it getting in to the cabin at? The inside of the door or the floor?

If your drains in you door are clogged the water will leak in to floor inside the cabin after a good rain.

The water comes in the window, it soaks the driver. The window seals might need replaced?
