Good day. I’m new to the forum. I just picked up a 2011 Jetta with really low mileage. Only 9000 km. The lady I bought it from had the oil changed every year. She also told me it requires a special oil drain plug or it will leak. I think she is confusing the plug with the crush washer. Just wanted to confirm. Thanks .

Yes, make sure to put on a new crush washer when you swap the plug with an easy drain. Then you never have to deal with these stupid crush washers ever again. Then again I haven't checked if the drain plug points straight down yet. That would mean no easy drain
