Polo 1.4 Match Aux, Bluetooth or MDI not working

Hi I got my 61 reg polo 1.4 match on Saturday and when I try plugging the aux cable in and connecting to my phone I get like a thudding noise and no music yet it's playing. I have it turned on on my setup yet still nothing. I also have the option of bluetooth on my settings but my phone doesn't detect anything when scanning and nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated.

I've also tried getting an MDI to female USB and tried plugging in a bluetooth receiver and my s8 plus charge cable and both times it came up saying device not recognised or something like that. I'm stuck at what to do to be honest. Has anybody had this problem before that they'd be able to help.
