Damn Centering plates WILL NOT COME OFF. Hardware is literally disintegrating so I have to torch these things to get them off. Might roll it into a local shop and get it on a lift to allow the pros to play with those plates. Not much more I can do to even try since the fuel lines are so close...

And the plates are off, not useable anymore, but off....

Here are a couple pics for when the rear bags were on, those that follow on IG, sorry, they are repeats :)

Side shot of the rear (still needs some tweaks to get the fender off the tire as the rear beam is shifted out on this side):

Finally got everything installed thanks to some good friends and taking things little by little"

Here it is, winter bumper while mine is painted, no C notch, Sway bar still in there (CLICK THE PICTURE TO SEE THE VID):

Yet to calibrate and set any presets, but I am pretty stoked about the whole thing.

Have wanted that amp since I was a youngin' and finally have one of my very own. SUCH a great piece of Sound quality greatness right there.

here are my plans next spring if I can get things moving quickly:

Got my Audi TT shift lever on after 4 years.....yes, it sat powder coated for that long on a shelf. Also powder coated the shift bracket, installed Verdict shift bracket bushings, and 42 Draft cable ends.

Also, powdered the VF mounts, have to get black bushings still or Dye the red ones as it seems possible based on my interwebing.

needing to cut out and replace my FSB, it is having issues with the axle:

Went to a local BBQ:

And did some repair on a paint chip that enabled some surface rust to form under the rear lip paint.

not perfect, but DIY good IMO especially after I put the fender guard back on.

About time to go back to Winter mode sadly, anyone else prepping for winter?

Why the hell did the poweder coaters keep it on the shelf for 4 years? I would have been furious. I was annoyed it took the poweder coaters about 2 weeks to do my motorcycle frame.

Winter mode is consiting of putting a radiator in the Jetta and then putting it for sale. Thinking of getting into air cooled. Really want a fenderless lowered air cooled beetle. Something along the lines of this

Except real. I'm short, but not short enough to fit in match box cars.

Sorry, no, it was ME that had it sitting on a shelf already powdered, I just never got around to installing the components. Glad I did get them in, such an improvement over the sloppy stock shifter components.

That beetle would be sweet man, do it!

Car is looking great man :K:

I need to update my thread a bit. That would make 2 whole active timelines!
Thanks!

Yeah, I never bothered with a Vortex timeline so this one gets updated when I think about it or do something. Maybe someday people will start to post on here again more than "I got a P12345 code, help!", maybe not, who knows. Until then, as long as I have my VW I might as well check in and make some updates. :)

I ground off all the surface rust and flaking paint and then took it past the spot that had the bubble. My rear wheel centering plates made me rub there and it took the paint off the li[ casuing the rust to creep under the paint a little bit. Then I treated the front and back with a 3 step POR-15 kit and then used Evercoat polyflex, primer, top coat and feathered in the clear to try to match up to the rest of the panel. it is better, but not perfect of course.

Well, cut this out as I was rubbing on it, but found that I must have a bad wheel bearing as well as my 40-60 noises straight line and grinding whirring noises are continuing when I turn left.

Also, I did not like the red bushings with the black VF mounts so I dyed them with RIT to make them black as well. #getmurked.
