Hi,
I am going to put a new catylitic converter on my 2003 GTI with the 1.8 turbo. Once I put the new one on, and replace the O2 sensors, will the light on the dash go out automatically, or does it need to be reset. If it needs to be reset, does it have to be done at the dealer??

There is another way to reset the light.
I've done it once, but it doesn't seem right.
Anybody else know what I'm talkin about? The mystical Fuse reset?

There is a fuse that you pull while the car is on.
It stalls the car, and resets the computer/clearls the codes/turns off CEL.
Maybe I'll take a picture, cuz I don't know how to explain where this fuse is.
Doesn't reset the radio, but I don't know what kind of harm it can cause.
I think it essentially shuts down the ECU, but I'm not for sure..
