hey guy
im having a problem with my idle this started a week ago when it got cold outside. i will be driving along then when i come to make a stop. i depres the clutch while still rolling the rpms dont drop to 8000 more they stay at 1100 until i make a complete stop and then ther return to 8000. this has never happend to me before and was wondering if any one could help

There is a valve that keep the throttle open a little when you let off the gas, It's called a Dashpot. All manual trans cars have them. The new DrivebyWire systems probably don't have them. Not sure though. They keep the throttle open a crack so the engine can burn all the fuel that's still being dumped in the engine at the higher RPM's when you pushed in on the clutch and or let off the gas.
