Hi, myself and my husband have been researching this on and off for a few years now and cannot seem to get any clear answers. We have always wanted the day van lifestyle with our young children, to compliment our national trust passes and the odd camping trip. This would also be our main family vehicle. But in terms of how safe the children are in the back, is it less safe in a transporter than a car? Thinking about the shell rather than the seats/seat belts etc. The main differences we can find are, no rear air bags, potentially less side protection, but the transporter is higher up in case of side impact. With so many families now taking young children all over in them I'm sure it must be safe enough, but I'd like to know if anyone can provide any clarity please?
