Is there a spark plug removal tool supplied in a 2000/GTI/VR6? There is NOTHING clipped onto my hood support rod. Does anyone have time to send a pic? Where else could it be? If it is missing, does anyone know where I can order one on-line?

Another quick one: In the spare tire bay, ya know that foam molding that holds the jack/screwdriver/lug bolt wrench? It also has this little wire clip thingie. It is "P" shaped, an about 2" long. What the heck is that thing?

The P-shaped thing in your spare tire kit is for removing the lug nut covers when you have to change the tire.

As for removing the wires...on an AFP VR6 engine (what you have)...as long as it has the stock wireset, all you have to do is pull carefully up on a plastic U-shaped handle attached to the end of the plug wire, and pull up. And then you remove the spark plugs normally...I suggest the use of a swivel 5/8 Spark Plug Socket, 12" locking extension, and a good ratchet for best results.
