Guys, is it okay to turn off the automatic Start/Stop system on a Passat b7 2.0 TDI Bluemotion made in 2011 completely off? I heard a rumor that it can cause other problem with the vehicle, but I have no notion of what kind of problems it will cause. Thank u.

Well The system is designed to operate with it functional and with an estimated fuel savings of 3 to 8% why would you want too?I have disabled that system on many vehicles without any issues. However never on that exact vehicle. fyi if you double tap the brake pedal as you come to a stop it disables it till the next stop
