I have a 2002 Jetta 1.8t GLS, 5 speed and its making the whistle noise when I am driving from very low rpms (~1000). Right now the car has no power and another weird noise in high rpms. It only happen when I am in gear. If I push the clutch in and press the gas, the turbo whistle sound comes in high rpms (~<3500). What would be wrong with my car, please help?

What is the best way to check for it I don't own a OBD2 scanner or any other tool. Is there anything that I can use to see if its the case. Thank you.

I'm wondering if the whistling you hear at low revs is a vacuum leak. Check all your vac lines visually, listen to where the noise is coming from. Check the PCV breather hoses from the manifold Y-pipe all the way down under the intake manifold for tears or holes.
