ok I've got a mk 2 VR6 GTI its basically a
1994 corrado wraped in a 86 GTI shell.
My problem is every time the engine reaches operating temp the coolant blows out of the expansion tank.
It has been suggested that I may need a new head gasket but as the car only has 94,000km
on it and is not leaking in that area ?????
so far:new thermostat and water pump.
HELP PLEASE!!!!!
I cant even drive the car due to this problem.

sounds like a head gasket. Is there any oil in the coolant? That is an easy way to tell. You just better hope that there isn't any coolant in the oil, that could cause some major damage.

like i said in the other thread. I would check somthing simple like a stuck thermstat. when the water gets hot and expands if the thermostat doesn't open it'll have to go somwhere. I would make sure because you can cause problems in your engine if it's not getting coolant.
