I have a IDF carb that was handed down to me. I'm not sure what size it is so how can I tell. Also the time has come to buy a new engine. I would like to use this carb but don't know what the minimum displacement I can get away with using it is without prematurely wearing out the engine. Anyone no the answer to this?

Weber IDF carburetor

OK, 9 years ago you posted up this question without any response. The only
info I can give you is about the carburetor itself. If you look at the body very
carefully, you will find the size stamped on it, 40, 44. or 48 IDF, along with made in Bologna if it's an Italian made unit or maybe even Spain. Nothing else to add here.
