Just got through replacing shocks on my 2003 VW passat while I was replacing all the control arms and the passenger side CV axle. Got the car back together and there is a rubbing sound when I am hitting bumps. I took the strut tower to a shop to get the spring transferred to the new shock and the cap to be put back on and then I installed it back in the car. I check my control arm work and it is good. The sound doesn't happen when the wheel is turned. It only happens when there are bumps. I drive it through my yard to get to the driveway and it makes the sound a lot but not so much on the road when the drive is smooth. Any recommendations or ideas?
