Hi All,

I recently bought a 1990 Jetta Carat and the car started and ran great until I got it home. When I when out to start it later, the car wouldn't start. When you turn the key, the fuel pump goes on, but no juice is getting to the starter. I remember that on a similiar car I had years ago that the seat belt had to be connected to start the car. Funny thing, when I disconnected the belt and tried to start it, nothing changed, and I am sure something should have. It has an alarm, but the last owner didn't have the sender and never used it. It almost seems like I pushed something in the car that triggered this "protective" reaction, but I can't for the life of me find what I did. Is there something really stupid and simple I am missing here, or could a relay just failed? Any input will be appreciated!

Steve
