My daughter has a 2005 Beetle and has had four separate window problems. The first three problems were handled under warranty by the dealer. Of course, now the vehicle is out of warranty and the dealer wants est. $500.00 to open the door and possible replace the regulator.

The window dropped to the bottom of the door the other day and will not come up.

I don't have a Beetle shop manual. Can someone get me started on removing the door panels. I only know the '86 Vanagon and GM vehicles. I see the two screws in the bottom of the door panel. Not sure if other door clips exist, and don't want to pry and break something.

thanks for any assistance.

Ok, I've got the door disassembled. I have been looking at various regulator parts to order on line. I keep running into a vehicle description subclass of "BEV", and two other options "AVH", or "AZG". I'm not sure if these will make a difference in the regulator part or not.

I have a 2005 GLS, Beetle Convertible, 2.0L engine.
