Hi folks. I am currently working on my 96 Jetta GL. I only have wipers that work on high and as soon as I move the stick out of High Position the wipers stop on the windshield immediately. They do not return to home position. It is really becoming a pain since we are now in the rainy season around here.
Quick ref or thread to like info on the 2002 NB 1.9 TDI

I can see you are a vet on some VW units. I am a new VW owner and site surfer with a NB 2002 1.9TDI. I am having only lamp problems. I have a Bentley service manuel (not maintenance) on the way. I did not get an Owners Manuel or Radio Manual with my NB. Have you a thread simular to this one on relay locations; and a better fuse definition chart than comes with fuse compartment I.D. card? Just located the cabin fuses today with daylight.
Regards;

Okay. I checked the location. It has a relay labeled 4 in that location. Looks to have a small speaker in the top of it. Is that the right kind of relay for that location??
It looked like a ton of relays are not loaded. Stuff like the dome light has never worked. The wipers act goofy. Little things that could be relay controlled
Did you ever fix this? IM having the same issue, if i push my wiper stalk UP it operates full blast and then if I drop it back down it stops wherever it was. And if I press DOWN on the wiper stalk nothing happens.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
